Returns Policy

If for any reason your Matea Designs purchase isn't suitable you can return the item/s for an exchange or refund.

Please note we are not sending out printed invoices with your order. You will receive a copy of an order confirmation email. Please keep a copy of this as you will need this to reference your order number and if returning your purchase you will need to include a printed copy of your order confirmation email with the returned product/s. 

All refunds will be issued via the original payment method you used to purchase the item/s.

You have 14 days to post your return back to us, starting from the day your order has been received by you. After the 14 day period has lapsed, the sale is final. 

If you exchange/return an item/s, you will need to cover the cost of postage. 

We suggest using a traceable postage option to return the item/s you purchased back to us. In the unlikely case your package is lost on its way back to us we will not be able process your return. 

We will not process a return until the item/s are received back by us and checked for the returns criteria listed below:

RETURNS CRITERIA
In order for us to process your return, please make sure that the garment is in the original condition you received it

  • Tags still attached
  • Unworn
  • Unwashed
  • Unstained
  • Unperfumed
  • Please note that returns which don’t comply with the above criteria will automatically be returned to sender, so please be mindful when trying on your item
  • The above conditions do not apply to faulty garments

HOW TO RETURN OR EXCHANGE AN ITEM/S

  • Post back all returns to Matea Designs P.O. Box 14 Carnegie VIC 3163 Australia for domestic returns.

REFUNDS
We will gladly accept a return on all full price items that comply with the above returns criteria listed. Should the items returned not comply with the returns criteria above, Matea Designs reserves the right to refuse refunds.

If you have made an order during a flash sale/short term promotion you will be able to receive a full refund (for full price items only) if your item/s are not suitable as long as you return the goods to us within the 14 day period from date of purchase. 

We do not accept refunds on sale items, all sale items can be exchanged as long as the items are shipped back to us in their original condition within a 14 day period. After the 14 day period has lapsed, the sale is final. 

EXCHANGES
We are happy to help you in exchanging your item for a different size or a different product. Through our returns center you will be able to select if you are wanting to exchange the same item for a different size. If you are wanting to exchange the product/s you ordered for a different product all together, please email us at info@mateadesigns.com.au with details and do not go through the process on our returns center link.  

FAULTY ITEMS
If you have received a faulty item, send us an email with clear photos of the fault/s and include your order number in the subject line as well as selecting "Faulty" for the reason for return when initiating a return through our returns center. We will assess and get back to you as soon as possible. All claims for faulty styles are assessed on an individual basis, and the outcome of a refund is at Matea Designs discretion.

RETURNS USING ZIPPAY, AFTERPAY, HUMM, LAYBUY, PAYPAL OR ANY OTHER 3rd PARTY PAYMENT PROVIDER
Returns remain subject to Matea Designs returns policy as outlined above. If you have paid using a 3rd party payment provider the funds will be processed via these portals and returned to you via the 3rd party you used to pay for the item/s.
